BOHAN Work for United Methodists Leads to PR Award
Journalist Dan Gilgoff put BOHAN’s “10,000 Doors” campaign for the United Methodist Church front and center when he wrote about Protestant denominations’ search for younger members in his “God & Country” column for U.S. News and World Report.
He even used the provocative copy from the campaign’s Web site to start the column: “What if church wasn’t just a building, but thousands of doors? Each of them opening up to a different concept or experience of church. . . . Would you come?”
That column led to a Gold Jasper Award for Utopia Communications from the Jersey Shore Public Relations and Advertising Association. Utopia pitched the United Methodist and BOHAN message to Gilgoff as he developed that column.
