BOHAN, Ad Age's Southeast Ad Agency of the Year and 2015 Winner for Best Agency Culture, is a fully integrated advertising and entrepreneurial marketing services agency located in Nashville, Tennessee. We follow a consumer-based approach to advertising, marketing and brand building, allowing us to offer an array of products and services to a diverse clientele. We have worked with clients who operate in a number of different industries, ranging from health care organizations, hotels and educational institutions to restaurants, retail and arts and entertainment.

BOHAN has its own organizational system, which we call brand villages. Rather than being in traditional agency silos (segregated departments of account service, media, research, creative), BOHAN employees work in brand villages populated by people from all disciplines. Associate Media Director

Who You Are:

We're looking for a 360-degree associate media director with an eye for analytics and also has a strong digital background. The role includes day-to-day collaboration with the account executive media director and associate digital director.

You're potentially the right fit if you have both traditional and digital media buying and planning experience (specifically spot broadcast, print, out of home, mobile, video, search, social, display). Hispanic and Spot/DRTV experience is a plus but not mandatory. You must also have the ability to dive deep into data and analytics and pull out actionable insights.

Additionally, you must be proactive, organized and efficient. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and be skilled in working with everyone from creative-to-account to mid and senior level clients. You would be the key day-to-day lead on the client's business, managing the account by helping lead strategic media discussions with minimal supervision, developing reports and presentations, solving problems, analyzing research and anything else required to make the client and agency successful, including tactical implementation for specific projects as needed.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Guide the client media team in the development and execution of innovative media strategies and programs
  • Assist in leading client media planning processes, track timelines and deliverables, and manage team expectations
  • Maintain ultimate accountability for the quality, strategy, and integrity of all media plans/strategies/services delivered to clients, resulting in the cultivation of client loyalty and retention
  • Be the organizational center of projects – manage projects, problem solve and lead flawless execution of media plans from start to finish
  • Provide POVs on various media efforts in the marketplace
  • Ability to dive deep / review / analyze / pull actionable insights
  • Have a keen sense of detail to develop and analyze in-depth business reporting and comprehensive competitive advertising/marketing analyses
  • Collaborate with team members throughout the work process to foster, facilitate and consistently deliver multi-channel programs that are on strategy, on time, and on budget
  • Intimately understand the client's business, industry and competition, and leverage that knowledge to help generate new ideas to strategically grow their business
  • Inspire while leading by example in developing, motivating, mentoring, and coaching team members
  • Effectively interact with clients in a way that positively impacts the agency relationship, including formulation and presentation of new initiatives, long-range plans, tactics, budgets and timelines
  • Challenge the status quo and seek alternate perspectives and approaches in developing effective hyperlocal media strategies
  • Advocate for the business internally, and keep the agency team informed, focused, and enthused about the work and the business
  • Handle multiple tasks easily, consistently meeting or exceeding deadlines
  • Achieve the financial goals of the account by managing costs, revenue, and scope of work in accordance with client contract

What You Need:

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in working in a media or marketing agency environment as a media buyer/planner
  • Solid mastery of advertising fundamentals, including: branding, planning, positioning, strategy
  • Mastery of the principles of creating effective, intrusive and integrated media campaigns from the initial planning stages through execution
  • Proactive, strategic thought leadership
  • Knowledge of all aspects of both traditional and digital media (mobile, video, search, social, display)
  • Hispanic experience preferred but must have a background in planning and buying for spot broadcast, print and digital
  • Experience with DoubleClick, Google AdWords and Google Analytics preferred
  • Thirst for knowledge / healthy obsession in terms of keeping abreast of new tools and emerging technology/media
  • Ability to clearly communicate tasks to all team members
  • Ability to effectively manage, prioritize and report on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, writing, listening and comprehension skills
  • Exemplary problem solving skills, using solid judgment to thoroughly analyze various options before making a decision
  • Background in measurement and analysis of multichannel, integrated, and Hispanic-marketing campaigns preferred.
  • Healthcare or insurance experience a plus, but not a requirement
